Winter time fishing can be both frustrating and rewarding. A rule that fishermen have used for years: "fish deep in summer and winter - fish shallow in spring and fall - fish grass anytime. A good place to start hunting wintering fish is to start in or near deep water. Fish will concentrate in their comfort zone positioned close to bait fish. Jigs, spoons and carolina rigs will work best.

Toledo Bend Reservoir is not a safe boating water way. The 162 foot water level has made boat lanes unsafe to navigate. It is not the intention of the Many Bass Club to become politically involved with the management of this resource. It is our opinion that proper decision making by Louisiana and Texas state authority regarding lake level management is lacking.
