Best 6 Tournament Rules
The Best Six Tournament is scheduled for April 25-27, so mark your calendars.

“Last year’s tournament was a great success with 90 of the 98 clubs attending,” said Dan Touchet, ALBC president. “It was the best percentage of clubs participating we ever had. The board is working to see that the tournament continues to be a success and continues to grow.

“Additional sponsors continue to come on board and we are working on some additional plans that will be announced as they are finalized,” Touchet said. “As part of this year’s ceremonies, Judy Wong (pictured here on right), the recent winner of the Women’s Bassmaster Tour championship, will be at the tournament on Sunday, both day’s weigh-in is being televised and a photographer will be on hand taking pictures of the teams, etc.”

Touchet went on to say that Ranger Boats, Mercury Motors and the ALBC have a great partnership that enables the ALBC to continue to offer the raffle boats for ticket sales and lucky winners.

“The ALBC w ill continue the practice that has been in place for years and that is allowing teams to trailer to different landings,” Touchet said. “Most of the agreements have been reached on the next raffle boats with plans to have the raffle boats by mid July. This will give us a longer time to sell raffle tickets and to cover some of the festivals we have been missing by getting the boats later in the year.” 

“We have also received two trolling motors that we will raffle at the tournament and two depth finders that were donated, will be part of the drawings at the tournament,” Touchet said. “We are asking for feedback to see if the new method is better than what we did last year.

T-shirts will be available as last year and there will be food served again on Friday evening with the registration.
